Star’s History
Brothers Ben and Jos White founded Star Technologies in 1995, followed by the launch of its flagship product, NetStar, which took the industry by storm. NetStar was the first end-to-end solution that provided everything necessary to connect a network to the Internet. Following this success, 2000 saw Star develop the managed security services firm MessageLabs.
Star's unique Internet-level virus scanning service was key to the MessageLabs proposition. In 2007, MessageLabs and Star Technology became separate companies. Star’s focus for the future is to grow the business by delivering hosting and converged network services.
